The HDW FAB 1677 is a German translation of the Italian fencing manual of Salvator Fabris created by Heinrich von und zum Velde some time before his death in 1662. (The year 1677 refers to Johann Joachim Hynitsch's bilingual 1677 edition of. Fabris' Lo Schermo, which he attributes to Velde's notes.[citation needed] The original currently rests in the Howard de Walden Library at the Wallace Collection in London, United Kingdom.
