I began translating Early New High German texts after I was inspired by the source material of the Liechtnauer Tradition. My club, the Long Island Historical Fencing Society, is dedicated to reconstructing the fencing and wrestling arts of the tradition. As a graduate student, I intend on taking my translation skills into academia, with the aim becoming a college professor.
