Do you have permission to re-use this image? Just because scans appear on Wiktenauer does not mean that they are free to use. Wiktenauer is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and many of the scans we host are only licensed for nonprofit use. In other cases, the scans have no standard license and Wiktenauer has received special permission to host them (and can't grant that permission to anyone else). The license terms appear in the Copyright and License Terms box at the bottom of the page that sent you here. When in doubt, always check with the museum or library that owns a manuscript before publishing or otherwise reusing its scans. |

This template trims whitespace from a string. The string should be passed as the first unnamed parameter. You may substitute this template - that is, if used as {{subst:trim}}, the resulting wikicode is "clean".
Usage
{{trim|text}} = text with any leading or trailing whitespace removed.
Example
{{trim| abc}}produces abc.

Easy to use and efficient string length comparison templates:
- {{str ≥ len}} – To check if a string is "longer or equally long" vs. "shorter" than a given length.
- {{str ≤ len}} – To check if a string is "shorter or equally long" vs. "longer" than a given length.
- {{str ≠ len}} – To check if a string is "not equal" vs. "equal" to a given length.
- {{str ≤ ≥ len}} – To check all three of "shorter", "equal" and "longer" at the same time.
Much less efficient string length template:
- {{str len}} – Takes a string as parameter and returns its length. Can count up to 500 in length.
