Kendra Brown has been translating Latin in combat treatises since 2003. Her HEMA studies have mostly focused on [[Joachim Meyer]] and [[Paulus Hector Mair]]. Her translation of ''[[Florius de Arte Luctandi]]'', in collaboration with [[Rebecca Garber]], is her first foray into the Italian traditions. She sometimes bursts into laughter and only explains by saying "Twist my lizard."
