Miguel Pérez de Mendoza y Quijada was a Spanish fencer and a member of the court of Juan de Austria. He resided in Pamplona, where he defended in 1672 eight propositions about la Verdadera Destreza both theoretical and practical. He wrote Principios de los cinco sujetos principales in Pamplona in 1672 and Resumen de la verdadera destreza in Madrid in 1675.[1]
