The 8 ARS MIL 1090/61 is a copy of Grůndtliche vñ eigentlichte Beschreibung der Fechtkunst, a German fencing manual published in 1620 by Hans Wilhelm Schöffer. The original currently rests in the holdings of the Niedersächsische Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Göttingen in Göttingen, Germany. Bound together with Schöffer's treatise are eighty-eight additional leaves containing handwritten note of unknown origin.
