Libro secondo di Niccoletto Giganti ("Second Book of Niccoletto Giganti") is an Italian fencing manual written by Nicoletto Giganti and printed in 1608. It builds on the teachings in his first book, and adds rapier and buckler, rapier and cloak, rapier and shield, single dagger, and mixed weapon plays.

Publication History

Libro secondo was first printed in Pisa in 1608 by Giovanni Fontanini and dedicated to Christofano Chigi, a Knight of Malta. The print run seems to have been small, given that copies quickly became so rare that as early as the 1670s bibliographers expressed doubt that it ever existed.

In 2013, it was translated into English by Piermarco Terminiello and published by Fox Spirit Books under the title The 'Lost' Second Book of Nicoletto Giganti (1608).
