We also don't use hard page breaks when transcribing prose. It's okay to use soft page breaks in the text field, but the wiki needs to be able to reflow the text based on the available size of the target location, and it can't do that when you use <code><nowiki><br/></nowiki></code> tags. This is especially true for hyphenated words, which should be reattached together for easier reading. It's okay to use hard page breaks when transcribing verse, but the bit about hyphenation still applies.

Hi Jordan,

I see you added a bunch of content to the page for Christoff Rösener. Thanks!

I uploaded all of the illustrations from Roesener for use in the article.

We no longer put transcriptions directly on master or treatise pages on Wiktenauer. The new format is to sort them onto Index pages like this one:

Index:Ehrentitel und Lopspruch der Fechtkunst (Christoff Rösener) 1589.pdf

This allows us to transclude them anywhere on the wiki, and also to update all the pages where they appear by editing a single source. The Roesener page you worked on will have to be updated to the new page format. I gave it a start, and you can do the rest of the updates yourself if you want. Otherwise, I'll get to it eventually.

We also don't use hard page breaks when transcribing prose. It's okay to use soft page breaks in the text field, but the wiki needs to be able to reflow the text based on the available size of the target location, and it can't do that when you use <br/> tags. This is especially true for hyphenated words, which should be reattached together for easier reading. It's okay to use hard page breaks when transcribing verse, but the bit about hyphenation still applies.

Cheers,
