In 2014, in partnership with the [http://www.freifechter.com/ Meyer Freifechter Guild] I launched a [http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1767876454/restoration-of-16th-century-german-longsword-illus/description Kickstarter] campaign to support the restoration and printing of the fourteen longsword illustrations from German fencing master [[Joachim Meyer]]'s 1570 treatise ''[[Gründtliche Beschreibung der Kunst des Fechtens (Joachim Meÿer)|A Foundational Description of the Art of Combat]]''. The response the phenomenal, and we ultimately raised nearly $12,000.
