Sciomachia et hoplomachia ("Unarmed and Armed Combat; MS Dresden C.15) is a German fencing manual created by Heinrich von Gunterrodt in ca. 1579.[1] The original currently rests in the holdings of the Sächsische Landesbibliothek in Dresden, Germany. This manuscript treats grappling, dagger, dussack, poleaxe, side sword (both single and with secondary weapons), and spear. The introduction to this manuscripts seems to have been the basis for Gunterrodt's printed treatise De Veris Principiis Artis Dimicatorie ("On the True Principles of the Art of Fencing"), published the same year.

Gunderrodt refers to this treatise as book one, but any subsequent work he had planned never seems to have appeared.
