Phrases ex variis autoribus quam studiosissimi collectae ("Phrases collected from various authors with the greatest zeal"; MS Chart.B.2117) is a German commonplace book assembled by Christian Günther von Berlepsch during the latter part of the 17th century.[1] The original currently rests in the holdings of the Universitäts- und Forschungsbibliothek Erfurt/Gotha in Gotha, Germany. Contained on ff 259r-260v and 285r-286v are brief notes on thrust- and cut-fencing (respectively) with the rapier; between and after these notes are long sections of blank pages, probably intended for further notes on the same subjects.[1]
